After years of being a side woman, drummer and singer ISOLDE LASOEN felt more and more like creating her own band and writing music. She started her very own band in 2012 and released a first EP "L'Inconnu" in 2014 (Coucou Records). A few years later she composed and released her first full album "Cartes Postales" (2017), and in 2023 Isolde's career took a new turn with the ambitious album "Oh Dear", which travelled around the world.
In her solo project she combines drums and lead vocals. Together with her excellent musicians, Isolde built up a strong live reputation and performed a long series of successful concerts in various formations.
Her style can be described as poppy, cinematic, melancholic, rich and eclectic. Characteristic are her stylish and tasteful drums, her seductive voice and lovely backing vocals, French and English lyrics, impressive arrangements and beautiful instrumentals. All ingredients that Isolde herself loves in the music that has inspired her for a lifetime, such as iconic and obscure soundtracks, '60s and '70s psychedelia, baroque pop, French Touch or bombastic symphonic music.

As a composer and author, singer, drummer, vibraphonist and driving force of her solo project, Isolde proves that she is an independent woman with a sense of initiative, someone who pursues her dreams.
Isolde meanwhile also plays the drums with DAAN and has worked with numbers of bands and artists, such as Absynthe Minded, Flip Kowlier, Agnes Obel, Novastar, Sophia, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Jef Neve, The Happy, Urbanus, Guido Belcanto, Willy Willy, Jack Parrow, Jack Van Poll, Lowrider, Briskey, De Mens, and many others.
Besides the live segment, Isolde also works in assignment and from time to time composing music for commercials or film. For the Belgian TV channel CANVAS she hosted the music documentary 'She's Lost In Music'.
Isolde plays on Tama, Zildjian and Vic Firth.
